MLG inks partnership with ESPN

If you’re a pretty hardcore gamer and Halo player, there’s a good chance you probably have at least heard of MLG (Major League Gaming). MLG is tauted as the leading professional video game league, featuring gamers making massive six figure contracts. Not a bad gig if you can land it!
Recently MLG scored a major deal, entering into a partnership with sports broadcasting/reporting heavyweight, ESPN. According to the terms of the deal, ESPN will now serve as a primary hub for MLG related news, and will provide coverage of MLG Pro tournaments.
“Pro video gaming offers sports fans everything they love about sports—great teams, break-out personalities and stars, and exciting competition,” said Matthew Bromberg, President and CEO of Major League Gaming. “MLG’s digital properties now reach over four million fans a month, and millions more follow the League on TV, mobile devices, and X-Box Live. We’re excited to build upon that audience with ESPN.”
