Here’s a quick reminder to let you know if you love playing Team SWAT, you’ll be able to play plenty of it very soon. Bungie will be adding SWAT permanently to Halo3 matchmaking in May, which is tomorrow! The playlist will be ranked and it will be found in the “Hardcore” category along with the MLG playlist.
Bungie also of course plans to continue the double EXP weekends. Look for a Team Sniper weekend some time in May. Grifball will also be returning, sporting the proper updated map, which means no more people cheating, going outside of the map.
On another note, this Saturday the playoffs for the Grifball Spring League begin! My teammates and I ended up placing second in our division with a 7-3 record, which means we secured a spot in the brackets. Check out Grifball.com, if you’d like to follow the playoffs and perhaps a find a team to cheer on.
This one of the 11 episodes I spoke about in the previous post, which are currently available on MLG’s website. You’ll have to go there to see the rest.
If you didn’t get a chance earlier this month to catch the live streams of the first ever major MLG Halo 3 tournament at the Meadowlands, you can now watch the archived video on MLG’s website.
I managed to catch a couple of the live streams and I have to say I wasn’t too impressed with the quality. For the most part the video was quite laggy and was often times way behind the sound. It’s nice to now have the opportunity to watch the event properly. Hopefully ESPN and MLG will work out the streaming issues for future live broadcasts.
In total there are eleven archived ESPN MLG Saturday Night videos
I previously posted the complete Halo 3 trick jumping tutorial, which showed off some great ways to get into difficult spots. Here’s another video with some some really great trick jumping on display. Perhaps it will inspire you to find ways to get to places on maps you previously thought were impossible.
